Meet Our Team
Meghan Kizer founded Amethyst Financial Services in 2018 to provide small businesses with customized bookkeeping and accounting services. She is an Enrolled Agent (a federally authorized tax preparer), and has a strong background in accounting and finance through small business and corporate positions. She is focused on continuing education and keeping up to date on tax law changes to provide the most accurate tax advice possible, as well as creating accounting systems/processes to make it easier for small business owners to focus on running their business. When not working, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
Courtney Satterfield
My name is Courtney Satterfield. I was born in South Florida, but mostly grew up in Western North Carolina. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2017 with bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and in Finance. I have worked as a staff accountant primarily for non-profits. My husband and our (many) dogs now split our time between Asheville, NC and Fort Lauderdale, FL, where my extended family is located. We love to spend our free time at the Orlando theme parks and road tripping all over the US.
Kailey Armbruster
Hi there! I’m Kailey Armbruster, I grew up in Middle Tennesse right near the good ole Music City. In 2018, I received my bachelor’s degree in New Media Communications with a double minor in Marketing and Writing. I joined the team at Amethyst in 2023 and I love getting to help businesses succeed where I can. When I have free time, I’m usually stuck with my head in a book or enjoying another form of storytelling via video games or movies.
Julia Murphy
Hi, I’m Julia Murphy. I came to Amethyst Financial Services with more than a decade of professional Accounting experience, in both the private and public sectors. I have a Master’s in Accounting from SUNY Polytechnical Institute and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from SUNY Empire State College. I am a passionate supporter of small, independently owned businesses and enjoy working with clients.
